We're so glad you're here! Whether you're brand new to dance of have been training for years, Above the Barre Dance Academy is thrilled to welcome you to a new season full of movement, growth, and community — all under the direction of Jennifer Jarman (studio owner) and her fabulously talented staff.
At ATB, we’re proud to offer classes for dancers of all ages and experience levels — from curious beginners to advanced performers. Our mission is rooted in high-quality instruction, a supportive studio environment, and a shared love of the art of dance. We believe in the power of consistency, strong training, and creating a space where every dancer feels seen and supported.

Q: Do I need experience to join?
A: Nope! We welcome dancers of all levels and ages. We’ll help you find the right class based on your experience and goals.
Q: What’s the best age to start?
A: Our classes begin as early as age 2, and we offer beginner-friendly options for older dancers too — it’s never too late to start dancing!
Q: Can I watch class?
A: We love that you're excited to see your dancer in action! While we don’t allow regular class observation in order to minimize distractions and keep our dancers focused, we do host special Observation Weeks throughout the year — they’re always a hit!
We also have small viewing windows in two of our studios that you’re welcome to use at your discretion.
Q: Can I join mid-season?
A: Yes — as long as there’s space in the class! (Near recital season, options may be more limited since dancers are deep into performance prep.) Just reach out and we’ll guide you to the best fit.
